definition of Evolution

"Scientists generally do not conflate the concept of evolution (change over time) with the proposed mechanism for that change."

Sure they do until they get called on it and asked to explain the mechanism. Then they change horses mid stream and claim that evolution just means change over time. Darwin's theory was that the mechanism was natural selection, involving tiny, random, incremental changes over many millions of years. How's that working out so far?

"Scientists generally do not conflate the concept of evolution (change over time) with the proposed mechanism for that change."

But superstitious people often conflate anything they find useful to a dishonest objective...and with very deliberate forethought.
