Those were days before my time...I arrived in 1975. Indeed, Portland is a lovely place, but it has now been discovered and the whole world seems to be descending down onto it. I live on upper SW Burnside, down from Rose Gardens. Downtown is convienent by bicycle. I enjoyed some of Baghwan's philosophy and ideas...they did get a little carried away when they tried to kill a district attorney out in the Dalles. If you remember the Kennedy School, I think it is in NE PDX, it has now been turned into a brew-pub/bed and breakfast....McMennamin Bros. Len
