I believe what Sanders said was that 50% of the functional, yielded devices operate at 233 MHz.

He gave no indication of what the functional yield was = (Average Number of GOOD die/wafer) /(Total number of Die on a wafer).

As for the 233 MHz, Sanders also didn't happen to mention that AMD had to increase the Vcc to 3.3 volts to make those die run at 233 MHz.
