Paul, et al, looks like the rats will continue to desert the sinking ship (SS AMD, aka the Titanic or Lusitania). Maybe Jerry will have to turn the lights out at the Sunnyvale White House all by himself? From the San Jose Mercury News:

AMD technology chief's stock sale
does not bode well
Silicon Street
IT looks like S. Atiq Raza may be the next top
executive to jump ship from Advanced Micro
Devices Inc. (NYSE, AMD). At least that's one
conclusion that could be drawn from the rapid
sale of nearly his entire stake in the
semiconductor maker's stock.
======================================================================
The article continued to say that Raza has been selling AMD stock at prices from $31 and change (August, '97) through yesterday at $18 and change.

Paul and All,

A very difficult week for those of us who are long technology stocks. I haven't looked at the figures, but CNBC reported that the MSH index was down 12%; SOX down 17%.

Have a cocktail and a cigar, relax, and remember that when the techs come back they do so faster and farther.

Good luck,

John
