Russia is acting afraid. That's like saying a bully is acting afraid. Small comfort to the ones being bullied or the ones about to be bullied. Never said bullying was a good thing. Was Imperial Japan acting out of "weakness" when they took over Korea and much of Asia before WWII? How about Hitler when he was making his move? No. Japan was building an empire. That's not what Putin is doing. Putin is threatened by the US, the EU and China...........so he wants to have buffer states between Russia and those entities. Fortunately Vladdie seems content on only taking advantage of this particular "opportunity." Now he can sit back and laugh while Barry calls him "weak." Meanwhile, Russia just gained some strategic advantages and has galvanized its nationalistic base of support, and the rest of Europe is ending up looking impotent. Psychologically, Obama is the one coming from strength........and Putin knows it. The only thing that I would have done differently is moved part of the 6th Fleet into the Black Sea. Bullies respond best to a show of power and force...............Obama is doing it mostly thru economics. I would have liked to have seen more military power displayed. Do some reading on the current state of Russia..........you will better understand why Putin isn't coming from strength. And lets not forget........Russians, they be crazy.
