Fri 12 Dec 97 News Release
Mr Andrew Schwab reports
Bishop has recently completed a regional reconnaissance program over a 200 sq km area centered approximately 40km south east of Prince Rupert, BC. Exploration efforts focused on geological targets identified by regional mapping assisted by the November 1997 release of a 1:100,000 scale geology map by the geological survey of Canada.
Based on encouraging results from the reconnaissance program, the 426 claim units have been staked in three principle claim blocks over an area encompassing 10,650 hectares (26,316 acres).
The company's current claim interests is listed in the following table. Those claim units staked within a 1km area of interest around the originalclaims must be offered to Falconbridge for incorporation into a joint venture as per the terms of an option agreement dated January 24 1997.

The claims were staked based on anomalous results obtained from a stream sediment, soil and rock chip geochemistry program, and after prospecting identified semi-massive to massive sulphide float and outcrop showings, hosted in favourable meta-volcanic stratigraphy.
A comprehensive report is being prepared which will disclose results from the regional reconnaissance program. Geological and geochemical maps will be prepared for specific claim groups and will be available for review on a confidential basis by potential joint venture partners.
The company is planning an air-borne geophysical survey to help prioritize targets identified in the reconnaissance program.
An updated resource estimate for the main Albere zone based on drilling completed by the company this fall is expected to be calculated in the near future and will be reported by the company when available.
