Nothing is risk free except Death.... We all know here that this market has been a farce for quite a while and is only artificially being propped up. The real economy on Main Street is in recession. There is not a day that goes by where I don't get a prospective customer begging me to lower my prices. Now these pleas are coming from Gold Coast areas in Long Island, such as Jericho, Syosset, and even Dix Hills in Suffolk County. I'm as liberal as they come and even I have to admit that Bush II was an angel in comparison to Obama. Even your GW Bridge Governor from Jersey is a much better option than Super Hawk Hilliary. Whatever happened to the days of independent sensible moderates like Senators Weicker (CT) and even Chaffee (RI)? The US stock market is truly a casino so nothing is really safe given the criminal nature of government. The only question is when to time the fall from grace. I've been hesitant to short this market because I know how corrupt it is. I still see a likely high in mid April into early May. August is another pivotal month. I see nothing wrong with a 10% overall portfolio position in a short fund like HDGE. But then again I'm not really the person to ask or follow since I've been accumulating gold mining shares, in particular GDXJ and GLDX over the past 15 months and have gotten nowhere except a lot of grief. Still, I'm certain that new all time highs are coming to Mining Stocks. Every time my gold mining positions pop above water, they drop like a rock in no time.
