Some TI/AMTX news

I saw this and don't know if it is true. But assuming (a big assumption) it is true, then TI might end up having purchased only the husk of a DMT implementation and could still have some major DMT problems down the road. Prof. Coiffi was the founder of Amati and his work was responsible for the initial ANSI DMT standard (which was subsequently licensed by ADI). Man, that would be a real kick in the head, if he eventually ended up at Aware.

Re: Coiffi not tendering ---- I tried to read between the lines. I read every word.
Notice Dr. John is not part of the deal -- they are working on a consulting agreement.
Working on one, it says. They have had a number of months to work out a deal -- I
don't think Dr. John wants a deal, he wants his Amati. He created it so I doubt he
would be happy to see it stolen (personal opinion). Dr. John has more shares that
anyone, almost 10% -- I don't think he will hand them over easily. I think the retention
agreement is poor and doesn't do much for the Amati officers. There are no
guaranteed jobs for any of them and no guaranteed income for even a short period of
time. >>
