"TAIWAN STOCKS END UP ON RENEWED CONFIDENCE" 12:20 AM EST

<Renewed confidence erased an early slide in Taiwan stock exchange on Friday, pushing local share prices to a higher close as investors shook off worries of South Korea's worsening financial turmoil, brokers said. Closing up 127.69 points / 1.54 percent at 8,398.27.>

Additional factors cited for the rally were Bargain-hunting and Planned Gas Price Hike was reported to be minor.

With the Nasdaq down 100 points (give or take) on the week, this thing is wound up like a rubber band. Look for the NASDAQ to have an explosive rally on Friday. Bargain-hunting will abound. I wouldn't be surprised to see the NASDAQ up 50 points interday.

And ASND well............... ??? We'll see $30 and possibly a lot more.

Larry

>>>CPQ has its extra shares now (as of 12/11)<<<

Gary, I heard that the authorization was granted, while the actual issuance of new shares occurs in late January. Would this affect your musings in any way?
