Alexander Go, according to the link below, the reason Sandisk took Samsung to court was that Samsung had refused to pay higher than usual royalties. The court then halted all shipments of raw NAND-based flash from Samsung until they settled. Toshiba settled with Sandisk 10 days before Samsung. Based on those facts, one would reasonably conclude that Samsung and Toshiba are both paying royalties to SNDK .. very likely more than the "usual 3% - 5%".

If anyone can confirm this conclusion, I would be a heavy buyer of SNDK (they would have a worldwide monopoly that even Intel couldn't break!)
