Or perhaps it is the west coast out of touch with the rest of the country? Always has been.......at least since I've been here. Not new news......at least not to me. Think about it maybe much of the south has more in common it seems with your midwestern roots, upstate NY, PA ect? Folks more insular, don't want rapid change or high cost lifestyle? If the South has so much in common with the Midwest, upstate NY, PA, etc, why are they the ones talking secession? You may be right but on the surface, I don't see the evidence to justify your statement.

You Easterners. LOL. Denver is mid country Oregon Washington and Idaho are OUT WEST. Geesh. And we are much less religious and yes much more progressive than the south and most of back east except NY.
