Working out the salvation by condoning killing, and slavery? < The OT shows a loving God working out the salvation of hateful and sinful humanity. His love of man and hatred of sin led Him to sacrifice His son on the Cross in order to heal man and transform him into the sons of God. In Christ, He gives you the opportunity to be born again of the incorruptible Word of God rather than the sinful and hateful seed of man. Through the Cross and Resurrection Christ has created an new man.
