Follow the money: who's most likely to have the $99 a year to shell out for an office suite?

Certainly not those who want to think they get it for free with Google's Docs, Sheets and Slides.

A) Apple users spend more. Not just on the hardware premiums, but on apps, etc.
B) Google has its own business suite that competes (I prefer it to Office, though I'd never be too productive doing spreadsheets and word processing on a tablet).

It was a smart move by MSFT and AAPL to partner this way. They need to do what they can to grow revenue. Small steps better than none.
