I live in the woods most of the time and support my brother who is recovering from a cancer. I don't hunt for food or enjoyment but could if necessary. I frequently have 20 or more deer on my lawns. They don't run from me. They are very friendly and I feed them corn during the very cold winters. I could take any of them for food if it were a necessity, however, that isn't the case. I grow tomatoes , peppers etc typical small garden endeavors.

I used to fish in freshwater, but prefer the ocean.

I used less than 100 gallons of heating oil this winter, I did burn 7-8 cords of wood though. most of the wood I got was from trees on my land

I harvested 5 deers off my land this year, still have some meat in the freeze, hmmm hmmmm good
