Gee, Maybe Uncle Bill shouldn't be so cheap with his money in Washington anymore because MSFT has suffered a major defeat in the internet wars.The bundling technique, which I argue is MSFT's greatest weapon against nimble,well funded and better designed technology, has been defeated as a tactic, as it relates to internet browsers,servers and connectivity issues.This injunction will be extended to include servers and other internet apps NSCP is competing in.As someone pointed out, Ballmer was unable to offer a contingency plan to this event.Because of the stale technology of the windows franchise MSFT has to assimilate, integrate or bundle to compete in the internet market( a whole different world than the packaged monopoly they have til now enjoyed).Do not underestimate the resolve of the DOJ hotshot attorneys to make sure they are not outmanueverd or embarrassed by any MSFT strategy.
