How would they live before life was around? That's like a reverse tautology, or the lyrics to a country western song. Thanks for the tip to examine viruses more closely. There is a lot of new information on the subject that I have not yet digested, in particular the time in life history where RNA begat DNA seems to be preserved in the metabolism of retro-viruses. I was wrong, DNA did not evolve from RNA, instead DNA is the byproduct of an advanced RNA reverse transcriptase process.
