Good post, Sibe. It does finally seem like we are running into
the earnings problems due to tech slowdown from Asia and I also think
Year 2k as funds are diverted over to fixing problems. Real figures
are not disclosed just like like 5 to 6 weeks after Asia fall, in
the media we FINALLY hear about the 4th quarter problems. How many
large institutions already distributed stock in the past two months?

If Year 2ks are going to have some good runs in 98, this is the time
to be buying in my opinion. And if any techs are going to have
good runs in 98, it is going to be those selling solutions for
this technology temporary budget shift (meaning no matter what, bottom line is systems still need
to be repaired to continue running business efficiently).

Also, I just need to say I believe techs can keep falling, so watch
out for falling knives (I don't mean alyd in the longer term), I mean
companies like Kulicke & Soffa that just announced Hyundai cancelled alarge
shipment of wire bonders, because they could not get the line of
credit from their bank. I worked in semi business many years, and
my caution in this type of market comes out of that experience.
I have tried to catch many falling knives in my investing days and
it is not fun.

Sorry for my verbosity this evening.

Kathy

BTW, The 16 million LOC contract was big and from what I under-
stand CPWR has their hands full, that partnership will be very fruitful for
ALYD, in my opinion.
