Actually Haim, human nature does change and fairly quickly: <What Stockman misses in his explanation is a very simple issue, human nature has not changed and character traits are hereditary and therefore the social order may had changed the name of governance but the people staffing those positions stay the same.> Despite the expression "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" being stereotypically true, in fact there are many disappointed fathers whose sons are far from the hereditary human nature of their fathers which you suggest.

In fact, the way genetics works is that TWO people mix their DNA and the children are of various admixtures of those two. The winnowing process is then on with Darwin Awards being hand out and women [the children of other people] selecting "the right stuff" and eliminating the "wrong stuff" from the next generation. That winnowing process is pretty quick, with 100 years enabling 5 such winnowings.

If women and the exigencies of life eliminate certain genetically based personality traits which no longer fit with the way things are, then after 100 years, the behaviour of "human nature" can be dramatically different even just on a genetic level.

But add to that the fact that people no longer have 10 children each and are not under so much Malthusian economic pressure and they are no longer forced by hunger and social pressure to arm themselves and head over the border to acquire land and women for themselves by murdering neighbouring tribes' warriors.

There are very large social changes which also influence human nature as our natures are not only genetically based. The reason there is so much effort in education for the first two decades of a child's life is because helping children develop into socialized adults is a vital work to be done. They can't just be left for their genes to express their human nature when they are 22 and ready for adulthood. Or 35 these days in some countries. Or even 45.

You have this wrong: <So mister clueless David Stockman, people character has not changed worth noticing in those 166 years the desire of building empires and exploiting other people did not vanish from the world and in the specific case of Russia due to their genetic makeup of their ancestors and a countless campaign of brainwashing the aggressiveness of building Empires and oppress people for the gain of the few, is still alive and well, and as any other conqueror since the Persian or Roman Empire Russia tries to expand by means of military force and exploit other nations to pay tribute - they only call it differently now.>

Putin and Russia are pushing back on the idiots running NATO and Victoria Nuland's evil-doing. Crimea wanting to join Russia is vastly different from the empire-building you described.

If Russia also takes over Ukraine, it would be understandable given the nasty pieces of work on the loose in Kiev and the fact that the legitimate boss had to escape to Moscow to avoid evil Nuland's violent associates. It would be quite sensible for Putin to do as the Americans like to do, which is restore sensible democratic process in Ukraine, having done so in Crimea.

But Putin might like to claim "right of return" as Palestinians want to do in Israel, and that the Euroscum support. Unfortunately for the murderous Palestinian Moslems, the Jews claimed a prior right of return to Israel and plan to keep it since they have been back there for a few generations and that is now where they are from.

Right of return is very problematic because we are not simply fixed people. Every person born is from 2 and you do not need to go back many generations to have achieved miscegenation on a grand scale. You need go back only a couple of thousand years to find everyone is related to everyone and you need go back only about 20,000 years to find everyone not from Africa to have the same great great great ... great grandfather who came out of Africa then [Y chromosome tracking]. You need go back only about 80,000 years to find the great great great ... a few more generations, great grandmother from whom all non-Africans descended [mitochondrial tracking].

The idea that human nature and tribe remain fixed is false. It's quite the opposite. To see how humans have changed, compare human nature with chimp and bonobo nature. That vast change was achieved in just a few hundred thousand years. The pace is faster now with 7 billion of us being winnowed in vast conglomerations with vastly different life pressures compared with the hunter gatherer existence of the little tribes of 10,000 years ago.

As you wrote: <But the world today is now not what the world was 170 years ago

We as a civilization are much more connected and interdependent.
> No longer are the people over the horizon or on the other side of the river or mountain range a totally foreign tribe living a Malthusian life. Now, as you say, we are connected, related, and interdependent.
