My personal critique of both extremes who post on this thread is that being subject to an extreme or any authority without healthy skepticism robs you of authority in your own life. We must have institutions and social authority in society lest we fall into anarchy, however, we should all be skeptical of the social authority we most identify with. There are few devotees on the extreme right or extreme left who demonstrate a willingness to do so. Those who refuse are soulless IMO. disclaimer... BTW, inode does not seem to me to be an extremist.
