Depends on what "it" is: war, invasion, military action. Like I suggested at the start, If you are going to make a legal argument you should use legal terms. The legal terms for what we did was Invasion by a military action authorized by congress. If you want to argue that the invasion was illegal, you can make a case. If you want to argue that the authorization for military action by congress was illegal, you can make a case. If you want to argue that the military went beyond or violated the terms authorised, you can make a case.

If you want to charge someone with assault who was protecting an innocent person from an attack, you would probably lose. You could charge them with illegal use of a deadly weapon (if that were the case).

I was empathizing with you as I don't see you as devoted to either extreme. I see you as someone who takes each issue on face value and owns his position without hiding behind a partisan skirt...someone who is the authority of his own life. Learn to take a compliment.
