Thomas, I fear we may have gotten off on the wrong foot, and I hope you'll except my apology if I've offended you. Your initial post coupled with what my wife told me the night before somewhat startled me. I hate to admit it, but I can be rather superstitious at times. The whole deal was like "too weird". What I was trying to convey to the other person was that while we may not necessarily know the people we are posting to, there very well could be things we have much in common. Finding a commonality with another is a great start to begin a dialogue which may lead to other comments on different tangents with others who are also participating. Trying to determine who is worthy of posting to or recieving posts from in the initial stages is not necessarily a good idea in my opinion. Obviously some don't see eye to eye, or the intellectual stimulus just isn't there, but I feel that perhaps that should all be laid aside until one has interacted with a thread for some length of time. We've all been the new kid on the block at some point in time. I just wish others would remember that and show a little compassion. Then when enough conversing has passed who is worthy of who can be better defined. That was really all I was trying to say. I really should have known better to mention a third party name in a post. About two weeks ago, I sent e-mail to someone telling them to be careful of just such a situation because some people can get real mad real quick, and I was trying to spare them of the experience in the future. Then I turned right around and did it anyway. I've seen others refer to me by name in posts from time to time. It usally doesn't bother me, and if it does I try not to let it get to me. The subject usually passes in due time so there is really little to worry about. Anyway, glad to have ya around. Hope to be reading a lot of you even if your posts aren't to me specifically. Welcome!
