Why? It doesn't cover the dark money that flows into the super-PACs. Or the "grass-roots" organizations that pop up, spend a lot of money on slanted TV ads and push-polling and then vanish. Now, I am not particularly happy with the large groups that donate money that is traceable and accountable. It is the large pools of dark money from unknown sources that is even more problematic. Especially when, on the few occasions that some light has been cast on them, it turns out to be the same groups with links to billionaires.
