Facebook, Disney, etc. all established apps years ago. You're citing examples of new products or updates to an existing line/brand. Though there are some long-established ones who release first to Android, like Sonos this past month and DropBox historically, I'm talking about small developers looking to break onto the scene now... where do they best spend their money? Over the past year, many more are choosing Android. Instead of divulging my proprietary reasons, I'll just point you to a few small developer blogs that try to explain their rationale: here here here (Stack Exchange actually followed the rationale a while back) here here (consulting whitepaper)

It's a growing phenomena, I assure you. If you want the best feel, access a list of *brand new* developers/apps with the most rapid growth from, say the past 6 months. Look into their histories and see how they are doing on iOS vs Android.
