Those stupid scribes (but clever kings/priests) still weren't even that swift all the way down in the 3rd century when they scribbled out that mess, imagine writing down such superstitious claptrap only trying to impress the Greeks that conquered everything including Egypt and all the way to India?

The Greeks probably patted these Hebrews on the head & said "good boys", nice try little ones now run along... its the equivilent now to some bible thumper down in mississippi railing away about far off mythological happenings that never picked up a history book once in their lives.

Its plainly obvious what they were trying to do involving "Pharoah", aggrandizing themselves to make themselves appear magically larger with a god protector, we see no less in nature with puffed up fish, lizards & other creatures that are trying not to get swallowed.

I find it one of the most amzing things that the major celebration of the Hebrew of Passover is based on a complete fiction, which informs us of the nature of reality & just how incomplete the human psyche is still. It doesn't matter if a thing is based on truth, its "allegorical" value is enough.

(though half of Israel now admits this is all a fable, the tribal identity forgives the myth its lying component, who said telling little lies doesnt work?)
