fwiw, I remember (years ago) Ampex winning a multi million $ patent suit against one of the Japanese high tech firms, the following day the judge reversed the jury verdict. moral of the story, don't count your winnings until the check is cashed.

No texas judge who wants to keep his/her job is going to reverse a jury decision.

You must be joking ..This is a Federal Judge, reviewing a Federal Jury verdict in a Federal court ..

. And as such, these Judges can operate with no concern about being re-elected, as they are appointed.
