Can't follow that distinction As you point out, to adopt the teachings of Christ is to accept some pretty anti-capitalist concepts No intellectually honest Republican can reconcile the positions of the party with any realistic reading of Christian ideals But I'd like to see an attempt to do so ....and the racism is subtle It isn't in your face, I hate n.......s It is informed with the dog whistle messages that comes from many directions Reinforcing stereotypes and fear and resulting in influencing actions that tend to diminish entire populations The resentment against Obama is that he was able to rise above decades of orchestrated belittling of his race ..and the fall back is to make sure that he doesn't succeed in any significant way, having attained the highest office in the land If that were to happen, any number of established stereotypes would be subject to review If you think that people who are of different races should be kept in their place, you may be motivated to vote in a way that is otherwise not in your best interests ...and there are a whole lot of Americans who think that way, deep down
