You can get that here to as long as you live in the central valley and don't mind the additional hour each way during commute times. Turkeys aplenty as well. .....well.....I'd never consider commuting to the city for work..........just want it within driving distance for everything else...........but ....yes............two counties and 50 miles south of me........that same home would go for $800K+....................still in turkey country though........in fact on the Jersey side, I saw wild turkeys on the Palisades Parkway not more than 11 miles north of the GW bridge.
