>>>Comparing Studio to C++ compilers is like comparing a tire to a whole car.<<<

I'm just comparing it to other compilers, including their own offerings of a few years ago. You shouldn't get all your product information from microsoft.com.

>>>What happened to InterDev, VB, FoxPro, and all of the other stuff. There is Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Fox Pro, Encarta, Front Page, InterDev, compression software , low end enterprise OSs, low and mid tier DB's, I will not bother to go on.<<<

You won't bother to find out what the prices are you mean, Or were. (Compression software? What?) This is all just gobbldegook. Why are you listing new products here? Why aren't we talking about the whole product line?

If the research required to back up your original statement (exact prices for let's say, 1993 and now) weren't too much for you, you would prove yourself wrong.

For myself, since it's your contention, and yours to prove, I'm willing to wait, knowing that you were just posturing.

>>>in relative inflation adjusted terms, they have dropped prices across the board.<<<

What happened to the numbers, oh math king? Cat got your tongue?
