Are you trying to claim that the Republicans did not try to obstruct things? Obama bent over backwards to get cooperation. Republicans asked for around 200 amendments that were added.

Obama was the obstructionist. Do you not remember, "We had an election; I won?"

What, precisely, did Obama do that you call "bending over backwards?" The most important thing that could have been done to save costs was tort reform. Recent studies found fully 25% of medical tests, referrals, and specialist visits are induced by legal exposure. Republicans wanted ONE THING -- tort reform. THE ACA HAS NOT ONE WORD ABOUT IT. Not one word.

You are not a stupid person. You recognize that what was done was outrageous. From the ground up. And I am going to enjoy thoroughly watching you squirm as some Republicans president drills you assholes with the tactics this sorry bastard you elected has used. I hope he rips you fools from one side to the other. You deserve it.

The whole plan is based on a plan generated by The Heritage Foundation.

Absolute lie. The HF's discussion was NOTHING like what we got. The HF would NEVER have supported a 2700 bill regulating every aspect of our lives and you fucking well know it.

Single payer was taken off the table.

Of course. Single payer for old people (MEdicare) has been a fiscal disaster, leaving the nation 10s of trillions in debt over the course of only 45 years of existence. Obamacare and Medicare combined were cited by Elmendorf as two of the four reasons our deficits are "unsustainable". The others being SS and interest on the debt. Bottom line, you [democrats] have destroyed the fucking country.

For political reasons, i.e. to make Obama a one term president, no Republican would vote for the bill. Politics. Not the good of the country. But politics.

Oh, so you think Republicans believed the legislation was acceptable but they just didn't want to give the President a win?

I take back what I said before. YOU ARE a stupid person.

The Democrats have never acted that way.

OMG. Not only are you stupid you have a very short memory.

CJ,
Are you trying to claim that the Republicans did not try to obstruct things?
I'm claiming that the Republicans are obstructing this bill from becoming an even bigger disaster than it already was at the start.
Single payer was taken off the table
This is the new mantra of liberals everywhere. ObamaCare doesn't work, let's go for single payer.

Still won't fix all of the problems with health care in America, but hey, as long as libtards can continue blaming the other side for their own failures, why ever take responsibility?
