Thanks for the reply, Peter.

Now, let me ask you a question. How do you perceive "representation"? who is your listed quote provider? Or are you using the datek online quotes?

I use PCQuote, and have time and sales which allows me to look at the history of what happened besides just monitoring the quote screen, so whether or not the quotes are lagging is not really an issue. (Usually they don't lag.)

I am also comparing my experience with SPY on the AMEX with the NYSE stocks I have traded with Datek. I always get fast representation on NYSE. This allows me to track my order and assures me that the order is not being ignored. With SPY, the only issue I have traded on AMEX, I have yet to receive representation and watch the ask (if I'm selling) remain at levels higher than my order.

So I'm wondering if the AMEX arrangement Datek has differs from the NYSE in some way. If I don't get representation when mine is the best price after say one minute, for now I'll assume I have a fill. That's better than representation. I hope it's the case.

Esteban

Order6, order7, hit quote and execution 10 minutes now still no response. Change to order3, 30 seconds to respond. No problem with my other quote system. Cost me hundreds.
