>> We need universal health care like every other western nation in the world.

Except that most people in the country did not believe that to begin with and still don't.

Any reason you chose to ignore Obama's comments?

Are you ready for healthcare to be passed out based on party affiliation? The Obama administration is already enforcing laws based on your party affiliation.

What makes you so sure you won't be denied healthcare in your old age as Obama stated he would do?

>> The pubs have never done anything about establishing universal health care, or The New Deal, or social security or medicare or anything else that helps the people.

Once again, it is just a factually inaccurate statement. It seems you have a very difficult time with facts.

Medicare Part D was a Republican program, and was the ONLY federal health care program in our nation's history that was cost-effective. The ONLY one. And at your first opportunity, six years after its inception, you destroyed it.

OTOH, The New Deal, historically, has turned out to be a highly destructive force in our nation. Its follow up, the Great Society, has been even worse.

Those two presidents, FDR and LBJ, managed to leave our nation in several times more debt than ALL OTHERS COMBINED.

You consider that success. Smart, analytically inclined people, or at least those who can do a 9th grade arithmetic problem, understand just how destructive they have been.

The suggestion that these programs "helped" the American people is totally misguided and is based either on ignorance or an intentional disregard of the facts.
