Joan, I think that that's really the way to do it. I read a good book by Alexander Elder, Trading For A Living, in which he discusses various strategies. In one, the first criteria for entry is that the stock has begun trending up. To decide when this has happened he recommends using an uptick in the weekly MACD. How do you determine when an uptrend has started? I don't know Weinstein. Can you tell me a little about it? I must say though that tryng to get the bottom definitely has allure for me. You can really get smacked if you're not careful, but the return is much better if you succeed. I guess that's why they call it a lure.
