jbn3, Good morning, Link below shows where and by how much US exporters are affected by the SE Asian economic crisis regarding computers, accessories, and telecomm equipment. It's a Morgan Stanley report based on most recent quarter data compared with '96 shipments. Report is entitled Trade: US Exporters Feel Asia's Pain.

I heard on TV this morning that the judge ruled that MS cannot force Internet Explorer to be installed even with Windows 98. This could be very bad for MS since all of their products and the OS have tightly integrated IE. All help files are in HTML in the new products, and can currently only be viewed with IE. No other browser uses the same technology that IE does (ActiveX/COM) where they could be used in place of IE for the MS apps and OS. I don't think the Wallstreet guys on TV understand this. They didn't think it would be a big deal. But then again, who knows.
