Hi Scruff, Yes, yesterday's announcement has helped to clarify some of the misconceptions about the time frame. I woud not interpret Murdock's comments as having something on the shelves within 6 months. My interpretation of his comments is that within this time frame one can expect that Siemens will be able to incorporate certain fonix technologies into a chip, that will be marketable mid year 98. Now, of course, you need the product using this chip, and I don't know how much it could take for these to hit the market, my best guess is another 6 months maybe, So all in all we are looking at around one year, still much better than 2-3 years. This time frame, of course, applies to the embedded systems but I am sure that there will be possible applications in software form and these could be available much much earlier, this is how I interpreted Ron Coles part of the announcement. You can turn and twist it anyway you want, it just won't take 2-3 years before we will be speaking to machines. Fonix has a thrilling future and every journey begins with the first steps, as a very wise person told me once. O.K. guys, that was it from my side. I'll be away for a month and you can immagine how much I will miss these debates. What is a vacation in Florida compared to the daily thrills of an SI debate? Nothing.
