Does Korea just pay licensing money to QCOM or do the Korean companies also use ASICS produced by QCOM. Anybody remember?

Muizz - The timing of the downgrade corresponds exactly with the QCOM price drop. Probably all there is when the market is concerned in general about Korea.

alot of this has to be soes....I was just wacthing the ticker and it was sitting solidly at 56 with tons of trades of 200-1000 shares and then out of the blue comes a 55 1/8 trade for 1000 shares. then right back to 56. This is clearly someone trying to force the market lower.

The bid and the ask were only 1/8th apart at the time.....

Muizz,

That is definitely the reason for today's drop. Just mention the magic word "Korea", and a stock will plummet. Downgrades are usually worth a few points anyway. I would expect a bigger drop -- even Fannie Mae would go down at the moment if someone said that one of their housing loans was made out to someone of Korean descent. Too much hysteria at the moment.
