I monkeyed around on the new tradesports a little bit, but mostly it was just a hassle, & no where near as fun as the glory days of in-game betting. They just shut the site down again. From what I can gather, the new Daily Fantasy Sports industry more or less stomped them out. ---------- TRADESPORTS.COM CLOSURE November 30, 2015 We’re very sorry to announce that we have made the decision to close the Tradesports.com contest platform and focus on opportunities other than daily fantasy style contests. You're probably already aware that the landscape of the daily fantasy contest business has changed dramatically over the last two years, and much more so in just the last two months. It's always been a very competitive commercial environment. Two factors have driven our decision. First, we have been unable to attract a sufficient number of customers to forecast the scale and potential profits needed to justify further investment. Second, recent negative events in the industry have already increased our costs of operating (and will most likely continue to do so); or perhaps even prevent operations all-together. Put simply: We weren't making enough money, and it's now going to be much harder to do so in the future. Contests are no longer being listed on Tradesports.com. We ask now that all players log into their accounts and request a final withdrawal of their funds no later than December 4th, 2015. Withdrawal requests will be processed as quickly as possible, and all customer funds are and will remain available for processing at least through the end of the year. We've tried to bring a new twist to the old game, and we sincerely appreciate the loyalty and passion for our game that many of our players obviously have. We're still enthusiastic about our game and other innovations we had in the works, so if an opportunity presents itself to re-approach the market - we are definitely ready, willing, and able.
