Well yes, for small companies, but we're talking about Yahoo who should have massive available server space. If you are going to have a financial page, market quotes would be a fundamental option. There is no consistency on Yahoo as some pages have quotes and some do not. Even a small company like SI has reasonable quote availability. IMO simply poor design on Yahoo.

I have seen quite a few changes with yahoo over the years and came to the conclusion, that the only possible explanation for many of these GUI changes is that none of the designers and managers use the product that they are working on. If they were using it, it would be obvious to them that many new features and changes are nothing but a nuisance for the poor souls who continue to use it. Sadly, it seems to have gotten worse under Marissa's helm.
