to me it is heartening that Republican party is considering Jeb as its nominee.

Pretty much the only people in the Republican party that are considering Jeb as the nominee are the Old Monied Men of the party, along with a few accused "RINOs" like Scarborough. The same guys who were for McCain and Romney. From what I can see, the vocal base is dead set against him. Certainly the SIers and the talk radio people are, and the RW columnists that I skim are as well. They are dumbfounded at his recently articulated stance on immigration--illegal immigration is an "act of love," as if that mitigates the fact that it is illegal--anyone who says that he/she commits a crime out of love for family should be excused. He also made sure that there was no drilling off of Florida's coast line, and took at least some steps to restore the Everglades, although he at times favored some big money interests in the Everglades as well. His record has plenty of characteristics that will be called "RINO", as do his father and brother. His only hope of winning the nomination is if the Grand Old Men of the Grand Old Party still have enough clout to bamboozle the base yet another time. They are certainly bamboozleable (not sure if that is a word, lol), but still sting from the last two rounds of primaries not to mention of course Jeb's family connections, who they are not too fond of.
