Jane, You are right that we should be willing to look at and read were people are coming from. Paul said when he is with a Greek he acts like a Greek when he is with a Jew he acted like a Jew.One of the many miracles of the Lords death I believe was to allow us to be openly loving and kind to the lost. If you do not read or listen to where they are coming from you are not going to be as able to reason with them.The bottom line is God reveals what He wants when He wants and to whom He wants. We like sheep have All gone astray, the Good Shepard brings us back we can't find it by ourselves. The crazy part of this is that the disagreement is so small. They believe that Jews are saved thru Yeshua, so do we,they believe the New Covenant scriptures, so do we, they believe in the Trinity, so do we. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE? The problem is the timing of the earthly reign of Yeshua and the term Israel. Israel is actually the new name given to Jacob by God in Genesis. That is the name for the Country because of the 12 tribes that came from Jacob\Israel. The name means struggles with God because God told Jacob after they wrestled all night that you Jacob have wrestled with God and with MEN and have overcome. Recently I was reading about Jacobs dream of the stairway to Heaven and wow is it powerfull. The Lord Yeshua appeared to Him in the dream and made promises to Him.
