I think the most important point that was made in this whole Nevada thing was that if the "militia" (free citizens) had been unarmed, the BLM (government) would NEVER have backed down. Instead, the militia=free-citizens would have been forced into the corral that was built for them (which they laughed at) and made to stay there while all the cattle were removed.
