He was a delusional manic-depressive. But a good guy...... Agreed, being stuck with this fallen world/ primordial sin idea is always a big weight to carry which is a direct response to the everpresent (big) problem of existence of evil in the world. But what ever makes one humble, yet seems the animals & nature were teaching St Francis much more than he was teaching them? One of the most venerated saints in Christendom was found preaching to the animals, even considered the sun & the moon his brother & sister, think we'll reserve the affectionate term "moonbeam" for our dear brother Francis & stick with simpleton angry moron for gregoree?
