My annual Amazon purchases are down by about 80%.

For many years, Amazon had the lowest prices for the things I was buying, often by a significant amount.

That's no longer true.

Amazon has been slowly and steadily raising their prices. I am frequently finding goods of all kinds at or near the same price locally as Amazon's best price.

For online purchases of things I can't find locally, eBay vendors often beat Amazon's prices and ship for less.

Amazon had been my first choice for years when they were beating everyone else's pricing and shipping for free.

Now I find better deals elsewhere most of the time, and Amazon has become more of a last resort than a first choice.
