Otherwise it's a joke. The only way it's not a joke is if you actually enjoy the rough-and-tumble of a campaign and the hours that go into it. In other words it's not enough that you want the office, you must also relish the process of getting there. When I used to teach guitar I'd get a lot of older adults saying to me, "Oh, I REALLY want to play the guitar!" Sure, of course they do. But they don't really want to LEARN to play, they just want to be able to play. Too bad I don't have a pill for that, I'd be the first trillionaire. Even with an angel you'd be in for a lot of work, digging away at your time and energy. If that's your idea of a good time....

I would encourage you to try it out. Who knows - you might have some fun along the way. You'd have to rely on volunteers at first, but maybe your young dance pals might help - just cuz they like you. They might also learn something.
