Amazon has NO loyalty IMHO.
Many consider Prime members, which are at record numbers and continuing to grow despite the price range, the definition of a loyal customer. They pay a fee to discount shipping per year. Most take advantage by repeating purchases. Even outside Prime users, return rates are quite high.
Other retailers are catching up, and Amazon is steadily increasing its prices and fees which means I look elsewhere more often.
Please share - this would be huge for my business to know which retailers are catching up, and how. As for Amazon prices, I'm not seeing broad price hikes relevant to competitors. In fact, I'm finding it more difficult to find lower prices outside Amazon for higher volume items.
