I am little suprised I have not seen any discussion about the Korean economic meltdown and relationship to VLNC.

I would think it is safe to assume that those responsible for the 50-50 joint venture in Korea were also heavy investors in VNLC stock. I would also think that one would not see an SEC filling by these folks as they don't play by the rules over there. (resulting in Boom-Bust economy). Seems to me the recent and sudden drop in the stocks price is timed pretty closely with Korea's problems. Yea, I know the entire world is being dragged down by Asia so what makes VLNC any different than other stocks? I think VLNC was standing a lot closer to the fire then any outsider knew. As always information is power and very little of that is being shared with the "bagholders"

I now believe Cal knew the extent of the Korean involvment in the stock and sold what he could get away with. Those who cry foul have to remember the market is all about insider information. And it's all about walking that fine line between getting away with it and getting caught.

What's the future? I still believe lithium polymer batteries will someone rich but it's going to be very difficult and take much longer then the companies involoved are telling investors. This stock went from being a "Pass Line" bet to a "12 the Hard Way" in a real hurry.
