Completely understandable - the Sigmas won't suit everyone, as what they do, and how they do it, is severely restricted.
Nonetheless, in absolute image quality per dollar (and indeed per kilo), they are pretty well unbeatable at the moment.

The RX10 looks a great camera, but probably not for me.
If I had its purchase price to hand, I'd probably buy that 18-35 in Nikon mount, and a metabones speed booster to use it on micro4/3rds.

Each to his own...
