There is no way I want to upgrade to a new iMac, mine is superior to the new ones.

Except perhaps the lack of a Fusion Drive in your iMac. I'll be upgrading to a new 27" iMac later this year if they release one, from the Mid-2011 21.5" I have now. I'll bemoan the lack of an optical drive, and I'll have to purchase one (likely Blu-ray) but I'll be loving the larger screen, faster performance, and a 3TB (or 4TB?) Fusion Drive.

If I remember right XP was the best system that I used.

I don't know if you've used Windows 7, but if you have to use Windows, it's actually nice. It's like a much improved XP. After playing with Windows 7 for awhile, I find going back to XP to be a letdown. XP seems clunky and cartoonish.
