I think that story is revealing of another MAJOR issue that is not being considered much... again, not only not in the awareness of "mainstream" media... but too readily ignored by honest media. The acknowledged shift in policy that began to accelerate under Clinton... which shifted the American political reality from one where American Presidents spoke in public to address crowds composed of the American people in public... to one where American Presidents addressed hand selected crowds, with the purpose of manipulating perceptions of "the public's view" of the events... has numerous impacts. One of those impacts is to enable the manipulation of the public that it intends... and, we see that propaganda purpose being extended now, to the extent that media are expected to use only the most flattering of the White House provided photos of events, instead of taking their own... The other obvious impact... is to generate a bubble of historic proportions... even relative to Marie Antoinette's fabled myopia ? Nixon was said to have developed a "bunker mentality"... What you see now... is Obama having a "Bunkerville mentality"... in which he is completely divorced from and ignorant of the depth and intensity of the feeling of the REAL public... Mild-mannered Ben Carson is about the most gentle hint of that feeling that you could hope for... Obama asking for an apology... because an opposing opinion was expressed... and he was OFFENDED by that happening... tells you the dangerous depth of the detachment and delusion that is masking the actors in D.C., as they play to their hand-selected adoring crowds... and delude themselves into believing that really is the "public" adoring them... and not their hand selected sycophants. The "wake up call" being delivered in Bunkerville... being ignored... should be considered in that context.
