>>I was just describing what is going on. Only. What would you do?<<

I would start by filling in important details that were left out of your rosy but inaccurate depiction of modern circumstance....done. Then I would advocate for women to have supported lifestyles which contribute to growth and prosperity. The norm for this is those who obviously thrive in family relationships but it is not the only choice. You mention your daughters who are doing well, but you forget they have had an intact supportive extended family all along the way. Imagine the same girls raised by a multi-generational single mom living below the poverty level.

>>>The only way to go back to the old ways (which it sounds like you want to do) is take women's rights away from them.<<<

That comment is beneath you. No reasonable person wants any such thing. I certainly don't. I have three daughters who have all done well as a result of higher education.

>>>And the politics of this is interesting. Romney barely won married women, but lost 3 to 1 against single women.
Why is that do you suppose?<<<

I was not a Romney supporter but it has little to do with that statistic. Single women are far more likely to see themselves as being dependant on the public dole. I suppose they vote for the side which promises to dole out the most, which seems kind of tragic to me.

>>>Not what old white guys want them to do.<<<

I'm kind of tired of seeing old white guys as the scape goat for everything. I was raised by a wonderful old white guy and comments like that are untrue, unfair, and insulting.

>>>And the fact women are marrying/hooking up with other women 4 times more than just 20 years ago says a lot about them and how they see men.<<<

It says a lot about a lot of stuff. Men are pigs, women are bitches, so what. It says this aint no picnic but we could all try a little harder to be kind to each other. Women hating men isn't in my opinion anything to brag about, it is a symptom of a sick society which we are responsible for.
