I will agree with you on this. It requires liberal thinking and action to move society from the status quo. However, it also requires conservative thinkers to keep things from falling into an unmanageable crap heap. It is not true, however, that those calling themselves liberals today are actually liberal thinkers. This is why the term "progressive" was needed by the end of the 1960's. The left wing did not want to get stuck with a label that would require free thinking and willingness to change the status quo of left wing establishment. Modern day lefties are lock step bound to an intolerant platform. >>>A lot of them are assholes. Look how badly women are treated around the world!!!!<<< I've already conceded, men are pigs. But I've also witnessed chivalrous and noble men treating women with the utmost respect. You may have missed that since it is more the norm in conservative households. I have also witnessed a society turning out emasculated boys and grotesquely aggressive females, which does not bode well for us when the rest of the world comes a pounding on our door.
